I live in Glendale, AZ, not far from Luke AFB. When the alert status goes up they patrol much more often, and buzz the houses here. I think it's great. I'd be scared shitless if I know these planes were coming after me.Herschel Savage

huh... on a similar note, while driving up 59N from Corpus Christi (south texas) toards Houston today i passed a military convoy of at least 60-80 vehicles, mostly hum-vee's and cargo trucks... the sky is falling, etc. etc...!...promise her a defamation, tell her where the rain will fall..Comment

Also the third largest C-5 base was activated yesterday. For those that dont know a C-5 is the militarys largest cargo plane.. its cargo area is just shy of the length of a whole football field at 93 yards.. Can carry 6 grey hound bus's, 4 apache helocpoters, 18 humvees... They are flying over my head like crazy now.. whew now what if one of those hit the twin towers.. would have taken them out and about 1/5 of manhattan..

My brother lives across the freeway from the AFB in Tacoma which is used alot for heavy cargo transport etc. It always gets extremely busy there right before and during major military activities. Things have definitely picked up over there this week.Comment
