Have you read the thread at all? Whitey does not want to do physical labor! Whitey is lazy! Whitey does NOT want the jobs of Mexicans! How many white people do you know without jobs? Probably a few. Now ask yourself whether or not those people would be willing to do hard, back-breaking, physical labor... yeh, I didn't think so.
The small % of the Mexican population in the whole of America is doing all of America's manual labor? In agriculture perhaps in places like California, but America extends much larger than California. How does Canada get by without Mexican labor.

Read "How the Irish Became White" by Ignatieff.... The key thing to keep in mind when it comes to jobs and industries is that COMPENSATION IS JUST ONE FACTOR re how Americans regard a job. There's also a STATUS component.

Woj you must have skipped over a few replies.
She has no issue hiring Mexicans who are of legal status and that are fluent in English. She has two Mexicans currently working for her. One is second generation American now and the other is a first generation American. She also has a guy who is African American, and then two white guys whom could be considered of highly mixed race.

It is illegal to hire or not hire based on race of ethnicity and she does not do that. She just proclaims "all American labor" and hires only legal Americans with a job requirement of being fluent in English (a equally qualified rational).

The key problem though is we have gone through well over twelve assorted "white guys" over the course of eighteen months. They have a very large tendency to either be to lazy for the job, unmotivated, or have this mind set that the work is beneath them and that they are to good to be doing manual labor or servicing people. Unless of course they think they can rise to a supervisor type job where they will not have to actually do they labor and can just direct it. Something which of course we do not offer, even my fiance works in the field.

BullShit, I'll be happy to pay 10 cents more per lb for my fruit and vegetables, if it means that more hospitals stay open, my taxes dont go up (welfare) and stop seeing god damn Mexican flags protesting for rights in America.

EZRhino it is one thing to think that and another when you are tangled up in an occupation that is on the front lines so to speak. It is not about willing to pay more for stuff. It is about obtaining and keeping a workforce that is willing to do the job and not think it is beneath them. To many Americans would rather collect Government assistance than be seen digging a ditch.

Thanks but it is not mine it is her business. I just handle the office work and phones for her. Err well I also assist in a few other ways like advertising and such.

You should consider advertising for labor outside of your area. Some people may consider relocating or a very long commute for that much pay.

latest figures I heard quoted were 12 million illegal immigrants in the US.

That is about 1/3 the population of Canada. And if you think that we don't have a large illegal immigrant workforce here in Canada you are mistaken. They may not be mexican...but there are plenty of illegals here in the construction, maintenance and domestic industries.
