I was in Cuba 8 years ago and I did not really like it. But I returned this year and visited Holguin and this experience completely changed my mind.
A couple of things have changed like they are allowed to purchase cellphones, DVD players and other electronics. They are now also allowed to purchase a room at the resorts. Some of the locals told me that in a couple of months, they will be allowed to get a passport and travel as well (if you can afford it that is).
