I have talked with co-workers over the years and friends of friends and I hear a common theme, especially the religious peeps.
"It's not right with God and they are sinning" "God didn't make Adam and Steve".. and others with the same common message.
This is a prime example of the hypocrisy of the right and the religious extremists. If you are so perfect and your God is so great, why don't you let him judge these "sinners"? How come you take it upon yourself to judge others and correct these "flaws" in society? If gays are so bad, won't God take care of them anyway?
The Right and the Religious will continue to freak out over gay marriage/adoption yet they will crap all over their own family by abusing them, divorce, drugs, etc but gays can't take of kids because they happen to like the same gender?
I am a spiritual man and try to do the right things by people and even considered myself conservative for awhile but I'm tired of this recycled crap.
Leave the gays alone you zealots and worry about your own fucked up family

The only argument that I've ever seen that makes a lick of sense is the difference between "equal" and "same". There are a lot of people out there who have no issue with them having a union "equal" to marriage but want it named something else to reflect what it is, since to them its not the "same".
I can respect that they would like to keep marriage what it is without denying gays a union like marriage.
