    One year ago today..

    I had a heart attack and did the whole 911 ambulance ride to the ER routine. They jammed a stent up my leg into my chest and heaped piles of drugs on me.

    They say 15% of heart attack victims who survive have a second fatal attack within the first year. So I'm just sayin woohoo! I made it!

          Been walking every day for the last 3 months. Dropped some pounds, and also feeling better.
          I have never had a heart attack, and the walking is to help prevent it.

                  Well for me, my diet was never terrible to begin with so I guess you could say I was lucky to not have to make any huge changes there. Just added more fruit and vegetables. The more colors the better pretty much.

                  Quit smoking was a big deal as I smoked since I was about 13 yrs old (I'm 43).

                  Getting my ass moving was another big thing as I was very sedentary all of the time. So I walk everyday, and make choices like parking far from the store and walking ya know, simple stuff like that.

                  My prescriptions are basically lipitor, plavix, aspirin, metoprolol and lisinopril. Yep, I take a drug that has "lol" in it, heh.
