this are just a few of them, and you'll find dozens on wp-plugins
if you think its rocket sience to glue them together then you clearly have no clue about programming.

Words are cheap. Put your money where your mouth is, and actually do it. ABP installs all of its functionality every time you extract the archive, and it installs in just a few clicks. $30 per domain under the current licensing arrangement -- although I can't guarantee it will continue to cost that much in the near future for such a great program (wink-wink-nudge-nudge-watch-for-the-announcement).

You can banter on about how easy it is to replication, but you're eating up valuable time you could be spending proving that you aren't just bullshitting.

Do it, post it, and I'll buy it -- at the same price as AutoBlogger, for all of the domains I launch.

        dude, you are a wreck.
This was about the posibility of doing everything with open source software
and now that you don't have anything to say about that you start
        bullshitting me with costs ?

Costs? You said these things could do it -- and you seem to imply that it's an easy thing to do. You threatened to do it, so if it's so easy -- do it.

You didn't address even half the features of AutoBlogger. What about image downloading, what about stealth mode, what about custom headers and custom footers, etc., etc.?

My point is simple -- it's $30 per domain, "for now," and that's cheap for what you get.

Plus, you get support, you get free new versions for life, and you don't have to sit your broke ass down and implement new open source software (or hack out your own) even time you want to try to keep up with the innovations of AutoBlogger.

Once again, it's easy: put your money where your big mouth is, or admit you're wrong, and sit the fuck down. What's so hard about it?

              Option A: Put up.

              Option B: Shut up.

I predict, from the faulty code in your sig, that the time it takes you to produce a half-assed product will prove my point.

A *month*? $30 versus a month of my time. My god, your time must be valued like a migrant worker. Are you marching this week in the protests?

                  Take care, kiddo.

you are again talking about costs while I'm talking about open source idiot.

That's the part you don't get -- you can use open source, but you can't replicate EVERYTHING, and it will take a lot of time. If your time isn't worth $30, that's fairly sad -- you're willing to spend a MONTH to save $30 .. that scares me. And combine that with the fact that you then get NO support, NO upgrades -- you'd be a fool. But that's just my opinion -- and I'm non broadcasting from Mom's basement. Oh well.

Every open source project I've been a part of (Python comes to mind specifically), I've been more than supportive of the model. In this case, I think "open source" crap glued together isn't the solution I'm looking for.

Anyway, I'm off. If you backpeddle any faster, you'd be going back in time.

The concept of taking the content of someone else and republishing it after adding your own links to it is really bad and IMHO copyright infringement.

I.e. I post a sales pitch with a link at the end on my blog. Now, you republish it, but the sales pitch will no longer work in favor for me because there are now lots of links above my own link. Even if you give me credit for my post I will be pissed because a) my sales pitch doesn't no longer work and b) your visitors will think that I am responsible for the links that you added to my sales pitch.

How would you feel if GFY rewrites your post like this:
I do the following with AutoBlogger Pro:

                        * Syndicate RSS and Atom feeds that provide keyword-appropriate content to my monthly bookmarkers and search engine visitors. The bookmarkers choose my sites because they offer a good combination of syndication, original content, and presentation.

                            edge,

you should not piss of coders like this man. It will just come back and bite you in the ass. Now you'll have free competition that probably even is better than autoblogger pro in just 1 month.

And I agree to what Matiz said, I find it kinda scary that autblogger pro is sold for $X and all it does is steal content.

i agree with you there, writing your own original articles.

but if you want to be lazy you could use abp, using say 10 feeds from diff categories.

but personally i write all my own articles.

To save $30? This isn't for people with one blog. It is for people with huindreds or thousands.

That is the primary problem with ABP is it is per domain. Didn't it used to be $100 per domain? So I guess someone else figured out that was an issue too.

Oh, I did not know . . . ABP changes the links put there by the original author? Well, that puts an entire different twist on things. . . . and causes me to lose some respect.
