A prime Tyson is one of the greatest heavyweights that ever lived. He destroyed excellent, experienced and dangerous fighters with lightning fast combinations and awesome power from either hand, at any angle, and he single handedly resurrected the Heavyweight division and unified the titles and was the youngest HW champion EVER.
Kimbo is a streetfighter who got destroyed by Rich Gannon and has been fed tomato cans so far in his MMA career. One guy who wouldn't fight back and one guy who only lives on his name and what he did in the past. I'm still not convinced that Kimbo would get past Rich Gannon TODAY. His backers didn't want him to fight my guy in an NHB match back in the day, for good reason, and I was offering 20k winner take all. I give him respect for training with Bas, that's not easy and he's got to be getting better, but he hasn't proven ANYTHING yet. In the future, who knows?
Kevin Iole should know better, and this is an insult to Mike Tyson.Comment

Nothing about Kimbo impresses me. When are we going to see this guy fight someone game? Ever? He became an Internet sensation by fighting fat, out of shape armchair quarterbacks. He belongs in a tough man competition, not pro mma or boxing.Comment

Silliness. Tyson wouldn't stand a chance. First of all he doesn't train at all anymore, and has NEVER trained MMA.
Then read the following blurb from the article:
"Tyson has never trained in MMA, hasn?t boxed since June 22, 2005, and hasn?t won a fight in more than five years. He looks like he weighs close to 300 pounds and only recently got out of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center."

The fight I WOULD like to see, very much, is Kimbo v. Butterbean... I think Bean probably is too experienced and too good with his hands for Kimbo overall, but the first few minutes would be exciting as hell and Bean isn't known for playing it safe. Kimbo would be stepping up in an interesting fight and he would have a chance to win, but if he loses it wouldn't take too much shine off him as long as it's an action fight, and I don't see how it couldn't be with those two going at it.Comment
