I would start changing that. Internal links are very important. You also need to know what your competition has for backlinks.

17 backlinks and you want results???

1 - how old is your site, if new fat chance you're going to see it on page 1, can happen but not very likely

2 - you have 430 pages, forget that and do this site:competition.com site:yoursite.com
if his site has 10 times more pages indexed then you better catch up

3 - add more links

ps I don't know what I'm talking about

yesterday i added like 11 PR3 links (most from not so related sites, but not totally unrelated) and now am nowhere to be seen on google for that phrase i used as anchor. Site still indexed under its domain tough.

You can say that again, since I added links I am no way to been seen for that phrase, not even p. 36 but I know the site it not banned because it does show for other phrases.

Does the url show at the back of results?

Ie, set results to display by 100, go to last page and click "Show less relevant results" and then go to the last page again. If your site is their, you have gotten 950'd.

I would have added 3-5 at the most in one day and not used the exact same anchor text for all the links. Go with like 75% the same and the rest close but different keywords. You also need to keep adding links and wait at least a couple weeks to see the real results. Were the links paid links? Google is starting to look at that. Google may be re-ranking you and that is why you dropped they do that when you get links sometimes.

why does re-ranking cause being desisted for certain phrases? Is re-ranking done by humans ? if not it should be instant.

I don't know why. I just know it happens lol Google doesn't tell you this kind of thing.
