    War or not to War?

    Hey everyone,

    I'm not American, but as a decent human being I got sickened and worried with the issues that happened in the US.

    It was a terrible act and I agree that the responsibles should be punished. I'm completely against any kind of war though, because a huge country like the US against some Arab country would be, in my view, as low as their terrorist atack, since as we all know, innoccent people (many of them) would die on this war.

    I would like to know the views and opinions of all of you - Americans, Europeans, Arabs, Asians, South and Central Americans, Africans, whoever you are, let me know your SINCERE opinion on that matter.

    These are my two cents, I am just a peaceful Brazilian though

              This makes my jaw drop.

              I can't believe they have the sheer AUDACITY to threaten us under ANY circumstances, let alone this one. I know there are millions of Americans, Canadians, Brits, and more all over the world that are just itching to go over there and slap the fuckin' smiles right off that whole place. I'm sure there are still people that think world peace is actually possible, but if they continue with the way they conduct themselves by supplying, harboring, feeding, and supporting useless pieces of shit like Bin Laden, they are going to face some apocalyptic consequences.

              The same goes for that fuck Saddam Hussein. We were IN MOTION towards Bahgdad ten years ago on a mission to eliminate him and his entire dictatorship when the boss put our leashes back on. I certainly hope that doesn't happen this time.

                  and im sure that atleast 95% of the people living in afganistan are supporting the terrorists by giving 40% of their income to bin laden, so they deserve to have their children die of starvation and diseases. and for those other 5%, so the fuck what? you have to break some eggs to make an omelet. they are exependable, and they are animals anyway..

                          Well hartman, I never claimed to be a diplomat. That's for the suits to figure out. I have enough confidence in the people in those positions to trust that they have the information pointing to justification. And I would hope that the so called "leaders" of those countries in question would be responsible enough to act in the best interest of THEIR people. If they are incapable of doing that, then they don't deserve the titles they throw around, and their people will suffer because of it.

                          Case in point: Saddam Hussein. He knows what he needs to do to make shit right with the world. He's not stupid. Yet he chooses not too. Because he's an arrogant, self rightous, dictating, piece of shit that doesn't give a flying fuck about the people of Iraq. And they paid for it in blood. I hope he's proud of himself.

                              War is never cool and there will always die innocent people.
                              But this has to be punished.
                              And this has to be punished hard.
                              There are countries that might say they are against terroristic attacks, but a country like afgahnistan knows there are terrorists hiding and that they have training camps to train terrorists in their country.

                              The same for Arafat, he says he is against terrorism but he knows there are such camps where terrorists get trained but he does not do anything against it.

                              They should be punished.

                                              A war is against soldiers... yes everybody knows that in every war there will die innocents, but these terrorists aim for killing innocent people.

                                              I know that that the bombs on Japan might not have been something to be proud of but does Germany still suffer for what they did in WWII?

                                                  first of I think the term war is a little bit off. This will not be a war. A war is when two sides fight over something. this will be an elimination. There is alot of talk about us killing 1000's upon 1000's of innocent people when we strike back. I know some innocents will die. There is no doubt about that in my mind but who is to say that we are not just going to bomb stratigic targets and eliminate their government. The Taliban has asked us not to attack them because the afghan people are already miserable and this would make it worse. Who's fault is is that they are miserable? It is their own! Now they tell their people to prepare for a holy war? They made the decission to harbor this guy knowing that he was going to attack the US.

                                                  this will be an elimination and then a long drawn out effort on their part to try and strike back.

                                                  If innocents die, I'm sorry. But we can't just say " please don't do that again, it was bad." and hope for the best

No. Well, they used our commercial aircrafts as guided missles. Don't some of you see that? I'm no war monger, I'm a former flower child who demonstrated against the war in Viet Nam, but we have to defend ourselves. We were attacked and these people will attack again. They have no value of their own lives, nor anyone else's.

                                                                  We care more about the people of Afghanistan that the Taliban does.

                                                                  This is not a situation where we can turn the other cheek. Though this will not be war as we usually think of it. This will probably be fought more on a diplomatic level than on a military one.

                                                                  They have given us no choice. It's self defense.

                                                                                          The people in volved in the terrorist attack must be punished and destroyed. Killing innocent people will just cause more terrorism in us in the long run. Even killing bin laden will not stop terrorism, and the next man inline of bin might be 10 times crazier than bin himself. The chain reaction of everything will lead to a gloomy future and global economy will never be the same also. Hopefully the arab countries will give up bin laden and turn him in, then when terrorism in arab countries is controlled by arabs themself, we have a chance. Humanbeing has taken a step back in evolution and I don't know whats the awnser.
