actually you missed what he was trying to say.
i am no fan of bush at all but he was trying to say that it doesn't look right if he has fun playing golf while soldiers are dieing. he didn't want to give the impression he was not giving a shit.
we know he doesn't but at least he is making an effort to show as if he does.
