    Your strategy in economic downturn?

    From my point of view there will be a world wide economic crisis. Think about stock market on monday - so many surfers will reduce their porn budget.

    What do you think is there any strategy for a porn site to go through this time (lower prices, dialers, ...)?!

      I would suggest getting out of this business as fast as you can. Its gonna get really bad. Dont walk, run away as fast as you can. Drop everything.

                          Well trader, it was light hearted, but somewhat serious also. I've never made enough from this biz to buy a twelve pack in any given month, and I see it as only getting much worse very soon.

                          Porn, in my opinion, has been on the downslide for a while anyway, and with all this.... I got a feeling it will do exactly as you've said. It's gonna go as limp as a hardon when the bitches husband walks in.

                          I haven't done a damn thing on any of my sites all week since this happened, and I have no ambition to start back up. I don't know exactly what that means, but porn seems really trivial to me at the moment.

                          Might be time for me to move on.

                              I think that anyone who has spent less than 6yrs in the On-line porn business should get out of it now...just turn your business's over to me and do like Gary says...run away as fast as you can!!!

                                                  Well, drunkslut continues to do QUITE well, so until we see a drop in sign-ups I'm not going to worry... In fact, yesterday was close to a record day for sign-ups. Porn is fairly resistant to recession.

                                                  As far as the market, I'm spending the whole weekend, preparing to buy up a lot of bargain stocks on Mon. Afternoon....

                                                          If you have made money in the past then their really should be no worries for the coming weeks and months. Personally, I don't even think the stock market is gonna be hit too hard, and Wizzo is right as rain about porn being very resistant to any down swing in the economy. If a person is willing to spend a few bucks on the net then they will no matter what. They would rather buy the generic macaroni and cheese than give up their porn.

                                                              People will be traveling less and staying home more. Las Vegas is going to suffer, WE are going to benefit.

                                                              I just looked at my sign-ups for today and here it is with the day barely half over and I already have almost twice as many sign-ups as I would expect for a WHOLE day.

                                                              Also, if you are smart, you will not pull in your horns, you will help prevent an economic turndown by going out and buying something. This is the advice which is being given on the financial forums.

                                                                  It's a proven fact that in times of economic downturn things like porn, movies and books do really well because they are cheap form of entertainment. Like unseen says people won't be going to vegas or to hawaii but they will stay home and look at porn.
