Most molestations are family members or someone trusted by family.
Most abductions are family members.

People want some actual change accept the main issue that real pedo's (not the fucked up ones cause of the law sex offenders) will not be changed and thus should not be released from prison once caught and just perhaps just change that law. As it stands a sex offender is not allowed at a park anyways despite any additional rules.

That may be true, but his law is about targeting strangers who have no business being around a kids public play area. Hey, if you don't mind strange guys hanging around your kids at the park who am I to berate you for it? Me, I'm okay with a law like this for certain parks.

While I agree with you about all that, not every sicko of that persuasion has offended yet thus the restraining order on known sex offenders does not apply to them... yet. I just don't agree with your negative opinion of this particular rule. A law like this where you as an adult must be accompanied by a child in order to be allowed into a certain park or play area of a park isn't designed to be the 100% ultimate end-all be-all solution to the entire problem. As I've now said twice in this thread it's about making it just that much harder for such people to operate and have access to kids.

I have no idea why anyone in their right mind would oppose it. Just go to a different park. There are plenty that don't have this rule.

I'm a single male adult. There are kids play areas (a few with wading pools) strewn around the city I live in, and I can assure you I have no desire whatsoever to go there by myself and just "hang around the kiddies". The only reason I would ever have to go to one of those parks is if I'm spending time with one of my own kids or some of my young nieces and nephews and want to take them out for a while.

Sorry, I don't see the harm to society if kids have just one public place they can go to that has this little extra measure of security in place for them. We're not talking every park or playground here are we? Just some.

When I was a kid we went to the neighborhood park and every kid around the block would be there, no adults in sight. Back then there wasn't this big worry about kids being nabbed and never being heard from again like there seems to be today everywhere. Why shouldn't kids have at least one or two places they can play in without having to worry about some fuckhead adult messing with them.

I hate every single new petty rule/law government(s) (institutions) come up with since it's always meant to make them more money and limit the freedom of its citizens. Although I understand this particular law since adults without kids hanging around on kids playgrounds is weirdo behaviour. But you get my point.
