Sometimes things are intentionally put out by the media at the request of officials for that very reason. Doesn't mean he's actually there.

On Tuesday the media would not report where the president was. If officials ask them not to give locations, they wont.

However, if it is a hoax, why not just say nothing at all?

I just heard it again and the reporter did say the information is from the White House.

Think about this as a theory....... I wondered the same thing and asked SongRider about it....... he says it is possibly to keep them in separate places so if there is another attack we are not left with both of them in the same place and both die...... then who runs this country?

Not sure, but it sure as hell made sense to me.

Because false information is better than no information. Some (terrorists for lack of a more acceptable term on this board) are actually stupid enough to buy into false info and will show up at reported locations.

Tam, my point was not to argue with the seperation (which is a good idea).. it was the broadcasting of this information on TV.

Amputate seems to think it may be purposely misleading information (which is also a good idea).

I still think that the News people are too fuckin nosey but I suppose it goes along with the mentality of America.
