The attack the USA just suffered should be considered to be an Act of War. The loss of life may top the other greatest loss of life in a single day, which took place during a battle in our Civil War. The monetary loss when all is said an done will probably be in the hundreds of billions of dollars. The replacement cost of the loss of property will be in the billions. The cost to the insurance companies will be in the tens of billions of dollars, for life insurance policies alone. In addition there will be property insurance, and of course the civil attorneys will get involved particularly against the Airlines. Since the bulk of the businesses in the towers was investment firms, the loss of records, is indeterminable in monetary loss. The replacement of thousands of skilled workers is indeterminable in monetary loss. The cost of the rescue and clean up will be tens of millions. The cost of increased security measures in the long run will be hundreds of millions. Economists are stating that a fourth quarter recovery for our economy is now nonexistent. The stock markets are falling and recession is being predicted. It is the blackest day in US history. It could have been worse, as a small nuclear device would have taken millions of life, and/or chemical/biological devices would perform the same function. If these Terrorists organizations are not put down it is not a question of, if weapons of mass destruction will be used, but a question of when they will be used.
For the first time since the Second World War the President needs to ask congress for an official declaration of War. The declaration should be against Terrorists and any country that give sanction to Terrorists. Our country should be put on a wartime footing and be prepared for an extended use of massive Military power against our enemies until they cease to exist. We are the richest most powerful country on the Earth and we have, by far, the most powerful Military on the Earth and the time is now, for us to let the entire World know what the consequences are for attacking the United States of America.
