    I know it is not the right time but i have a computer question

    I have a compaqe notebook at home with 256 MB Ram, PIII 600 but when i have my icq online and use IE to surf on the net, after like 10 mins,win98 will tell me that my resource is low

    anyway i can fix it beside get a new notebook

    do a disk defrag & most importantly , do a disk cleanup...(to clean up files you dont need & makes more room)

    other than that, i have no clue lol

          no.. last night i don't have icq on, but i have 3 or 4 IE on and the picture in the IE icon disappear (like refresh pic/icon, stop pic/icon) , and a message from win98 tell me the system resource is low, i have a norton antivirus on, is that why?

            One thing to try is go to Start>Run and type in "msconfig". When this box appears, click on the "Startup" tab and un-check any programs that load on start-up which you don't really need (some of these programs, like RealPlayer, can be invoked when you need them, and don't need to run in the background). The other thing is to add more memory (assuming you can).
