    Good news. I finally heard from my brother

    I've been going nuts all day, but he called.
    His fiance had a job interview in Philly so he took the day off to drive her because she didn't want to take the train. God must have been looking out for them because my brother said they always had breakfast at the WTC.

    I'm just so relieved.

                  why do people say things like this? god looked out for your brother but not the 10k others that died? im thankful your brother is safe as are my guys that work at my noc(20th street downtown manhatten).

                      Chill... think of is as God in the mathematical sense, i.e. the statiscal probabilities that the universe runs on came out in favor of her brother. It's a way to be thankful for good fortune related to uncontollable situations.

                              Got dad on the phone now. Apparently driving around Philly was a mess today with everything closing. He is now arguing with my husband over politics...amazing how soothing that is.

                                  I am so glad to hear this Hug him every chance you get! I lost my 21 year old sister to cancer almost one year ago. I thank God for every moment and memory we had.

                                      Yes I think God was looking out for them, if not they would have been sitting in the restaurant at the WTC, having breakfast like they do almost every morning. You can call it luck, I happen to believe in God. Do you have a problem with that?
