I had to go inside after waiting 20 minutes in the drive through because I don't have a bof account. Inside, I was fingerprinted, and then charged 5 dollars to cash a BOA check made out to me.

They don't hold my checks. Even from Canada (which process through a US bank anyway). If you've had some bounced check experience, that will make a difference. If they knew you were in adult, they'd prolly cancel the account??

Today it is their web access that is fucked up for me.

My G/F tried to open an account, they wouldn't let her. she had a Drivers license and ATMs from another bank, but that wasn't good enough. BTW if she would of had a prision release paper that would on done it for them. She has never been in jail, so that turned out to be a strike aginst her. I was sitting right next to her and have been a customer for years.

Shouldnt take that long to clear at BoA unless they are suspicious of the source... ie out of country... something looks off with check... etc.

I'm using BofA, havent had to many problems with them. I also have a back up account at WaMu, used to be my main, but after some id theft problems, they became my secondary banking source... keeping a few bucks stoked away in credit unions to...

Wrong Wrong Wrong.... It all depends on the amount of the check, how much you have in your account, and your history with the bank...

i am tight with the local branch bofa manager (i reccomend you have this relationship). she clears shit for me manually and makes funds available asap...

if you dont take the time to have a relationship with your bank, especially bofa, then you are going to get fucked around by their rules...

dont you know that banks sit on money. imagine the interest banks make on all their customers money when they hold for a day or two extra...

I just deposited an out of state check today into my BOA account from a different bank and had no problems.

I have however run into them telling me that they need to put a hold on the check, and when i gave them a dirty ass look and told them that isn't possible since i need the money tommorow, they "waived" the hold on it. Whatever...

If you bank with BOA, just give them shit, they'll usually try and do it so you shut up.
