          fuck man i don't know i am afraid of those new sp until someone else gets owned first.

          last time i DL sp2 right off the bat and all kinds of shit didn't work anymore.

                                      I've had problem..... couldn't find my profile the first restart. Second time restarting now IE doesn't work (Not that I use it for anything other then windows updates, and to check my HTML for compatibility)......

                                      BTW - It's my Sony Vaio that's having the problems. My XP only machine worked fine.

                                              3rd restart, and everything SEEMS fine right now. IE connecting..... we'll see.

                                                      Yeah, I did too, but that didn't seem to help when I've got so much protection (Spybot teatimer and ThreatFire) coming on when I restarted. I allowed the changes it flagged after the restart, but it looked like it needed the 3rd restart to set them in stone.

                                                      Try turning off any system protection completely (don't let them startup on the restart) before updating, so when the restart does some more updating your protection programs don't ask for permission for those windows commands to run.
