free sites aren't meant to be graphical so I'd make them simple and safe if I were you..

Hard to describe, but I'll try. He has a nice design style with big bold fonts and modern colors. He doesn't photoshop one big image and then chop it all up. It has a good mix graphics and backgrounds, where the use of images work well with the page but doesn't overwhelm or become the entire thing. Plenty of room for text and SEO. I looked through some portfolios of other designers yesterday and just couldn't find anything like what AdultRMX does. All of the old AVS style designs were mostly all the big-graphic design, then splice style.
