    Are Athlon 64 Processor's any good?

    looking to get a new desktop and was trying to find one at a reasonable price.

                              Athlon smokes INtel. People in the know always choose an Athlon or one of the newer AMD chips.

                                              dual core cpu's are overrated in my opinion, for the same price you can get more performance by buying a single core cpus clocked at higher Mhz...

                                                  I've tried 2 Athlon 64 with XP and they are VERY fast. Try searching on google something like 'amd vs intel' or 'amd benchmark tests'.
