We're definitely going to skip Emeril's. I'm not all that interested in a chain or a "name" place like that, anyway. I want to check out the unique, local stuff. I figure, if the place is called Emeril's and Emeril isn't in the back cooking, it's a scam. I'll have to look into Stella and see if we can eat there without taking out an equity line of credit.

Some of the top places in the US are in NO, in fact Cochon was named one of the top 5 resturants in the US by the New york Times and Stella is Pretty much the best Resturant in NO right now.
Make sure you get some Crwafish while your there, their in season and make sure you stop at Felix's for Oysters ( if you like oysters) and get them at the bar (they shuck them fresh for you as you eat them.
