    So I almost got arrested in a park

    So I'm in the UK and not enjoying the beaurcratic nightmare. But hey, it's their rules. I'm just here to make a few screw films.

    I took a friend to a park to do her a favour. I wasn't even trying to take pornographic photos. It was just a friend wearing a min skirt that wanted some tasteful sexy photos.

    We didn't even get started because she sat down on a bench and took her jacket off. Well something called a "park caretaker" comes out and starts telling us we can't do that and to go into the privacy of our home to make those kind of photos. He then called the cops when we told him to fuck off.

    There was absolutely NOTHING showing or profane at all. Hell, her legs were closed!

    Now I've had girls on Hollywood blvd walking down the road in a thong and pasties over the nipples. And the cops stopped traffic and posed with the girl.

    So to my American Friends....

    Everytime you think your country is gone to the shit house with puritan values. Just remember that I have lived in europe since 2003 and europeans can be waaaaaaay bigger prudes and conservative arseholes than pastors at a promise keepers convention.

    Compared to the rest of the world....

              ENOUGH OF THE FUCKING UNIONS! Do some work for a change and give the young people a chance to get a job! Most of you can retire early and comfortably.. so do it!!

                                                                                      I got told that photos like this are best taken indoors in the privacy of my home. People might take offense and I should really go to the council and get some sort of permission. He was pretty certain there was no law or rule or permit I required but it was a good idea to get a letter or something saying I could do this. But if we wanted we could accompany him and make the necessary enquires.

                                                                                      Sorry I don't remember the EXACT words but the above was pretty much what was said.

                                                                                      I tend not to argue with cops. Even if I am in the right! All that happens is they charge you with something stupid and then it's up to me to PAY an attorney to fix things.

                                                                                      On Freedom of speech/expression issue I would most likely win. But my purse is going to take a hit in the process. I pick a lot of fights over things I believe in... but I think twice if it's going to cost me a single dollar. (I admit to being greedy)

                                                                                                                          Hmm lets try this, i lived in the states, canada, spain, france, switzerland. Own properties in several of them. USA is not liberal. Next time look a bit further then the park. Ofcourse there are assholes everywhere. You just ha d bad luck. So basically there was no known offense and the police sure have better stuff to be doing. (Don't think you need to bother about the ravings of a park caretaker or rely on him for legal advice ) A London cop is going to have one of these silly grins on his face for the rest of the day at the prospect of "sexy pictures" in a park - you should have made allowances and taken a polaroid cam along to give em some instant pics

It does not matter about "pornography" - it's either legal or illegal. If it's legal - nada problems. Only time I've ever told a cop to shut the fuck up was when he behaved like an idiot - otherwise these guys have been good as gold and like their porn same as much any other paysite subscriber.

                                                                                                                                          My husband holds dual citizenship between Canada and Italy. With the E.U. he can be anywhere in Europe.
                                                                                                                                          That means we have half a world covered with our citizenships.

                                                                                                                                          Not that is really important but like you we have lived in Canada, States and France. And have property in two of these areas. I can't comment on Switzerland or Spain but I was present during the riots in France. And when we lived there was shocked to see groups of people start up a homeless soup kitchen and laugh at muslims because they made pork soup.

                                                                                                                                          You can say the UK is open minded and I'll be the first to agree it is most likely the BEST country in all of europe. Even with all the CCTV cameras on the street corners and a banking system with more rules than I can shake a stick at. I find the people to be slightly prudish but relatively nice and open minded.

                                                                                                                                          Culturally Europe has America and Canada beat. Can't compete with hundreds of years of history. However, I'm going to go with the USA all the way!!! In a Fucked up world it's the best bet for a free and open society.

                                                                                                                                          Na... cops are same as anyone else - they are entitled to respect and common courtesy until such time as they may misbehave, - same as anyone else. It does not matter about "pornography" - it's either legal or illegal. If it's legal - nada problems. Only time I've ever told a cop to shut the fuck up was when he behaved like an idiot - otherwise these guys have been good as gold and like their porn same as much any other paysite subscriber.
                                                                                                                                          I once had a cop in L.A. explain to me that their overall duty is to keep the peace. Therefore I'm big enough to say that perhaps all the officer wanted was to keep Park-50 from having a heart attack. And figured it was easier to chase me away than to reason with the guy. ((Benefit of the doubt))

                                                                                                                                          But what I'm getting at is that I miss the ability to do my job without hinderence. I was relatively left alone to do what I wanted back in North America. And trust me if I had a choice, I would run back to Montreal in a heart beat. ((Hell I would be willing to go to Newfoundland)) But I'm stuck until he gives up boats or Harper is removed from office.

If you are not born here you have to pretty much promise them your first born just to get a savings account. It took me nine years to get a checking account and I only got that once I was offically a British citizen.

                                                                                                                                                                          I disagree that people are prudes..afterall this is the country where dogging is nearly the national pasttime. The British just tend not to talk about it but once they go to do it they are anything but prudes. The kinkiest guys I have known are British.

The newer portions of the tube on the Jubilee line have it done much better with the slidding door barriers.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  I'm near Leyton station and I'm wondering HOW THE FUCK do they get down the stairs? Yea sure... the station looks all nice and historical British. But what fucking good is that if you can't get up and down the steps?

                                                                                                                                                                                                  Or do they just re-route you on a bus for 2 hours?

                                                                                                                                                                                                  Perhaps you're supposed to tip your chair back and slide down the steps while hoding on for dear life. Then use a rope and tie on to the back of the train!!!
