    working while in china? advice me pls.

    any of you guys been to china? ill be on a trip to beijing next month with wife and im wondering if its ok to work with porn (updating sites, checking trades, stats, etc) while in hotel? im quite worried since i heard that porn is illegal in china.

    infos would be greatly appreciated

      i think you answered your own question, but be sure to give your wife your gfy account info so she can start the 'zomg husband is in chinese prison need $$ for lawyer' thread when she gets back stateside.

              Use Remote Administrator and control your home computer from China. You will be able to do all your webmaster stuff and you can't get caught. There will be no IP evidences to chinese providers you surfed porn sites, and no evidences left in your computer.

              Is the best solution I can think of.

                                          Also you might think about the fact you may be on watch list in China.. Wasn't too long ago many porn site operators were getting letters from the China govt, stating they were breaking Chinese laws.

                                          I know I don't think I'd visit China right now with their new crack down on porn as a porn site operator.. As far as doing anything related to porn while there, I wouldn't even risk it.. It's not worth it.

                                                      what is it that is illegal? Surfing porn? Downloading? typein? Anyway, checking stats shouldn't be a problem. Updating sites should be ok too as long as you only ftp it.

                                                              yeah... you're right. its well worth spending 5 years in a chinese shit hole prison, eating pig slop, being surrounded by disease with no medicine and getting tuburculosis .... all while watching your fellow room mates get taken out in the middle of the night to be shot in the head so the government and corrupt officials can sell their organs on the black market. when they come to drag him from his cell to put a bullet in teh back of his head, he can reiterate that he was just ftp'ing the content and thought he did nothign wrong.

                                                              i will let you in on a little secret about corrupt countries and governments from personal experience. the law means nothing and you have no rights. all that is required to get into trouble is for someone to decide they want money or that its politically convienent to make an example and you can go down... has nothing to do with right, wrong or what is supposedly legal.
