To be fair, I don't think I ever got an ass beating, but it was only because I KNEW 100% for certain that my parents would not hesitate to dole one out if I stepped out of line. If I were that kid, I would have been begging to be locked up because when my father got ahold of me, it would have been
very bad news.
My mom was always the more laid back and easy going of the two, but if I went on camera and said it was "fun" to do bad stuff, she would have literally jumped on top of me with the whole world watching and beat my ass to the ground. And by the time she got off me, my grandmother and at least two of my aunts would have been on the scene and lined up to take their turn.
