I lived there for 4 years, and had a restaurant there. Trying to put together a show there, actually...
Go to One Eyed Jacks for drinks, and see if they have any shows going on. It's a great place.
Eat at Angeli on Decatur at least once.
As was mentioned above, try Frenchman street, including DBA and the spotted cat.
You can do the typical tourist thing on Bourbon (I used to live at Bourbon and St. Ann), and find something for just about anyone, but Lafitte's Blacksmith is one of my favorite places there.
Have a Mint Julep at Napoleon House.
Visit the Pharmacy Museum; it's cooler than it sounds. It's on Charters next to
If you like Sushi, go to Rock N' Sake in the CBD.
Take The Streetcar uptown, get off at First street, hang a LEFT (DONT GO RIGHT), and walk through the Garden District. Visit the St Louis cemetery on Prytania and Sixth (I think it's sixth).
If you want any more suggestions, or can give me an idea of what sort of things you like to do, I've got a long list.
