    Model Recruiting Style:: What's yours?

    I've been busy experimenting with a few styles of model recruiting. Previously I would just run ads, and field responses. Worked ok, but never really worked perfectly. My girlfriend told me I should "build a relationship" with the people I'm talking to, in order to shoot the models I want to shoot - instead of just working with the people desperate for cash.

    So do you find "getting to know them" and building a relationship with people works better than just throwing ads up?

              Approaching the people I want to approach... perhaps this would be better called 'active recruiting' instead of the passive approach through newspapers and such.

                          I usually just walk up to them with a kitten in my hands and tell them I'll snap its neck and turn it into slippers if they don't strip. That works, most of the time.

                                  Ads work great for me, then models refer other models all the time, when the stream of 'word of mouth' models settles down i run the ad again
