    Black-Listing Someone??

Please Vote AFTER you have examined the benefits of both Options:

Should the Name of the Person who Black-Lists Someone appear next to the reason they give for black-listing them???

    An Anonymous Listing:

People can anonymously put 1 comment on about a Person or a Domain without being identified. People are more quick to use this because it reduces the possibilty of revenge/retaliation from whoever they list.

But, this also unfair to the person who gets listed because they don't get a chance to answer back and dispute the accusation.

    An Indentified Listing:

People may fear retaliation/revenge from people they list and hesitate to list/report them. But if you are going to say something shitty about someone... I think you should take responsibility for what you say.

This also gives the Accused the chance to make 1 comment back... and possibly resolve the dispute where both comments will disappear.

This is Not a Forum situation where the thread will die off and be forgotten. This system keeps comments/disputes about a domain or a person - Indefinitely.

Please vote on which option makes more sense to You

It's hard to really vote since in 1 way anon would be good, but may also create many false reports. What I mean is that by allowing anyone to report someone/something anonymously you will have many people make false reports just because they don't like someone. You will be overloaded with reports/comments that may, in many case, be false.

Then you have the non Anonymous route. Many people will be a little worried and fear the other person/company getting revenge (like you mentioned). So in both cases there are problems. The best way for this would be they fill out a form on your site, it gets emailed to you, they provide you with real proof that this person should be blacklisted and that way you can be sure that the person/company blacklisted deserves it and the person/company who reported them is not known to anyone but you and the others involved in your work.

That's just my 2 cents.. I just got up and my brain is still sleeping so if I made no sense at any point of my post just ignore it haha

But then again for a long time everyone was using cheater hell and no one gave a fuck about any of this, anyone could blacklist anyone else without proof...

and the person blacklisted wouldn't have a clue as to who put him there...

So in my opinion names are unnecessary as long as the option to reput the statement is available , how ever names would be helpfull as far as talking to the other person in hopes of some how getting them to recant their statement...

so I say let the individual decide when they add a comment as to whether or not they have the balls to show their name and say "ya I said it "

If the accusation your makeing is true, then why not show your name?

        Names yes, as an option

        Thats my 2 cents

I agree that Proof would be Nice...

However, With the amount of Bullshit and Cheaters in this Biz... it is Unrealistic to accurately prove every accusation. Additionally, the judgment of proof would be in the hands of 1 or a few people and if they don't like you for some reason... You and Your Reputation - Are Fucked.

We can Suppress the He Said / He Said situations by limiting it to:

          - 1 comment and

It is not a Forum where an argument can drag out...

People can look at ALL comments about a Domain or Person... and then make their own judgments on things. When Several people make comments about someone saing the same basic thing... that's proof enough for me.

The site should have to verify the person. Letting anyone hide and say whatever shit they want isnt good imo. Even if a person or company defends itself, it creates doubt.

I would definately be for the IDENTIFIED system.

I have blacklisted several for solid reasons, while i would be worried about retaliation type reports, I feel for the most part, the users are honest and respect the rules.

The ones that don't have shitty feedback, and it would be nice to see who is complaining (which in my opinion, seeing who said it holds as much or more weight then what was said about them.) Being able to resolve i can see as good and bad though, to many people are willing to "not be pissed" or take stuff back after someone makes it better.

If you fucked someone we should know, whether they resolved the issue or not should be secondary, and i think its a mistake to take away blackmarks. Unless the "shit-on" was unjustified.
