Good point J$. I would think that if they want to earn money off of surfers, they would do it in a manner than did not piss of the very people who are giving them money for ads, paying their bills in the first place.
Pop-ups are so invasive and rude. For AVN to pop a screen on me is like them saying "fuck you we would rather cater to surfers" all while taking as much money from the industry as they can be it ads or high rates for booths at their dying shows. I don't fault them for trying to make a buck, I just think a pop-up for industry people is low class coming from such an organization.
Perhaps a button at the top with all the rest of the buttons that says "FREE PORN" would be a little less intrusive. Programs do the same, most give an option for "PORN" or "WEBMASTERS" as you enter their index page. No pop-ups for surfers there because they respect the webmasters.
