Just ask them for a picture, or start a convo about the fight. If they refuse they are just assholes and not worthy of your time.

tell them you work for the national enquirer and ask if they will pose for some pics ;)

actually ask them to take a picture of you....it worked for someone else recently

met a star..asked them to take a pic of them and someoen else...instant rapport

Stars are normal people like us and when you ask them for a pic, your just downgrading yourself to the status of a sniveling fan and thus they loose all interest (they will most likely take the pic with you for PR reasons).

Your best bet is to have a friend come along with you, give him the camera ahead of time and have him come in sometime during the evening and say : "Hey, can I take a picture of you 2?".

That way, you get your pic AND you get to save face since the star won't see you as some star struck fan. You'll be on level ground with eachother and you'll be able to talk it off and even hit an after party together.

You won't regret it. You should check out a local pro / am circuit. They're fun as hell, and you'll actually get close enough to talk to the fighters!
