there was no god, we are evolved from animals...is that so fucking hard to believe.....
we are in 2006 for fuck sakes!
Why is it that idiots come on GFY to trash other's beliefs? That's what's truely ignorant. Do you see me making threads trying to push my faith on other people?
I myself am having trouble keeping faith but I would like to share st. thomas aquinas' view about the existence of God...
"The second way is from the nature of the efficient cause. In the world of sense we find there is an order of efficient causes. There is no case known (neither is it, indeed, possible) in which a thing is found to be the efficient cause of itself; for so it would be prior to itself, which is impossible. Now in efficient causes it is not possible to go on to infinity, because in all efficient causes following in order, the first is the cause of the intermediate cause, and the intermediate is the cause of the ultimate cause, whether the intermediate cause be several, or only one. Now to take away the cause is to take away the effect. Therefore, if there be no first cause among efficient causes, there will be no ultimate, nor any intermediate cause. But if in efficient causes it is possible to go on to infinity, there will be no first efficient cause, neither will there be an ultimate effect, nor any intermediate efficient causes; all of which is plainly false. Therefore it is necessary to admit a first efficient cause, to which everyone gives the name of God."

i read it but i didnt understand, something wrong with me?
sometimes i do and sometimes i don't... when bad shit happens i blame it on god... when good shit happens i blame it on myself. Im going to hell... no wait?
“If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”
to me, belief in god is like belief in the supernatural,
crop circles, potions and magic..
hell if i were to belive in god i might aswell believe in gandalf and merlin..
atleast those guys owned stuff with their magic.
well, i guess god gets points for that whole raining fire and brimstone thing but he didnt really do it, i think that was gabriel.. so thats -points for being a fatass and getting other people to do your dirtywork..
but melkior now thats a god you can relate to, get an army of balors and whoop ass.. i would have won though. stupid elves..
im not trying to beat down on people who do believe, good for you i really dont care. you can believe in anything you want. im just saying.
God, to me.. its, well.. lets start out with the bible, now since these are modern times you take out the parts you like and say the rest are just, trivial bits we wont mention since they are publicly referred to as "dogma" brimstone fire and people to salt rain for 40 days and 40 nights etc etc i could go on for a while.
So why would you take out some bits if the bible is the word of god?
wouldnt it all be just as important?
or am i just confusing myself here.. did someone add dogma along the way because they thought all those salms and hymns were just too dull?
and all that mumbo jumbo with the pope aswell. i wont get into it but man, theres been a lot of things going on there. dont see why anyone could believe the pope is mankinds connection to god either. okay ill bring up just one point.
some pope around the 17th century publicly advertised a wine containing heroin now im not saying this is so bad but if he were the profet or what ever of god, then why didnt god tell him, drugs are bad m`kay? or arent they really bad and the pope of today abolishing them is just humbug?
