my buddy works as an air traffic controller at LAX, he told me today that two SWA jets were about 175 feet (not yards) from collision. he also said that all the SWA pilots are ex-fighter jocks who get really cocky. the incoming pilot was telling the plane taking off to stay put. totally fuct situation. the term he used was "near-fatal". hit me up on ICQ for more info.

I sent him the passur.com link. He watched it and said that it was highly interesting and they are going to make some calls.

landing and sometime vice-versa. Its pretty crazy to see planes
coming in.. it always looks like near misses.
Alot of people have witnessed that, and yes.. it scares the
shit out of alot of people.
Yes, there are near misses... but the new collision system at
LAX is the best in the entire world and I doubt computers would
fuck up

LOL I was there, almost underneath the incident - they were BOTH TRYING TO LAND ON THE SAME RUNWAY at the same time. One over the other, not to the side of eachother. I dont care how good system LAX has a great anti collission system as it clearly didnt work this time.
