I used to get them a lot when I was a kid but haven't had them that much as an adult until all of a sudden I am getting them. Anyone else suffer from them and have any tips on getting rid of them as fast as possible? I am currently putting a British ulcer product called Bonjela on it but pretty much that just numbs then so I can think straight for a few minutes.

I get them everytimne I go to the dentist.
went on saturday to get a tooth filled and now I have 3 sores
I fugred out it is from the gloves the dentist has to wear.

My mother used to say to gargle warm water with a pinch of salt on it.
Or try alum but it taste bad.

I used to get them as a kid. Haven't got one for pry 8 years now. Hurt like a bitch. warm salt water is what I would put on it. Or if you really want to feel some pain, just throw some salt on there and feel the burn!Comment

Get gargling with some warm salty water. The ulcer will be gone in a couple of hours. Make sure it's pretty salty though. And.. spit don't swallow..Comment

I'm guessing you have canker sores. Usually results from food allergies, dental work or stress. Best thing would be to rinse with a product like colgate peroxyl after meals. Also rinse with salt water a couple times a day.
I also usually take some vitamins and that seems to speed up the healing process. Your doctor can also give you prescribed paste to put on the sore.

Ulcers come about from either two things - stress or direct abrasions.
Either you've bumped the area while brushing your teeth, or you're stressing out about something.
Bonjella is a good solution while they're there, but here are two that I've found to be very, very effective.
#1 - The painful method. Use a pin to break the surface, and swab it with peroxide. It hurts like nothing else, but it will be gone over night.
#2 - The other method. If you've ever seen / used / cooked with 'bittermelons' before (chinese vegetable) - cook with one, and eat a lot, or even better, have tea that is steeped in bittermelon. It will clear it up within a day or two.
