I think when you're concerned about her age is when she's too young. My wife is 12 years younger and we never think about it. I was with a woman 6 years younger and I thought about it a lot.

The person to best answer this question is actually her.

It probably doesn't matter to you much what other people think. If there was one exception to that rule, it would probably be her parents (or it should be). If she's cool with it, then they're the only ones you need to worry about.

Keep in mind, even if you AND her don't care, what if this turned out to be your future wife? Imagine future family get-togethers if they hate you. That alone is enough to strain even good marriages.

But, if she has a good relationship with her parents and doesn't care about the age difference, then it's all good. When you're 39 and she's 27 it'll look fine to most people.

i think 21 is a very good age a difference of 12 years is not that much. You might start noticing the difference with 15 years difference and up. You might be 33 but young at heart and she might be 21 and mature for her age. If you get along then all for the best..

I'm 32, my GF is 19 (almost 20). It doesn't really matter, but as TheLegacy pointed out, if you want to go to bars, 21 (in the States) is a good idea.

Alot of it has to do with their maturity level also, and the people they consort with.

Also consider if you're 33 and look 25 and she 18 and looks 25 no one is going to say anything unless you tell them you're age. I'm 37 and I can pass for 30 or younger. Most women where I live for whatever reason look 6-10 years older than what ther real age is. So I could get looks for dating a women my own age because I look 30 and she looks 45. Personally I don't think I would date anyone under 25 just because they are too immature and probally would want to have kids. I'm done making babies. Now I would fuck a lot of women between 18-24, but seriously dating them, most likely not.

For me, dating below age 26 is more or less a no no strictly based on the maturity level. But it really depends on the girl, if she's mature for her age, go for it. Generally I prefer slightly older women, 27 - 34 or so.

There's date versus fuck...and to be honest, there's no real number. It all depends on the girl, her maturity level, and what she wants out of the relationship. I've always dated guys who were older than me. Some up to 12+ years older. When I was 23, I dated a guy who was 36. Great relationship that lasted for a while and ended for reasons outside of our ages.

If you want a "real relationship" and she's younger , just make sure that the 2 of you are on the same page and together for the right reasons. Meaning that she just doesn't want a "Daddy" who will pay for her lifestyle and you just don't want a trophy to sport around.
