    For the girls here! How many handbags do you own?

    Just for the lovely ladies here in GFY.. how many handbags do you own? how much did you pay for them? and for the males.. have you ever bough your GF any? (leather only.. :P) I got a very good deal here in Argentina to export very very high quality leather handbags and i want to have some input !!..

      I have 5 or so, and they're mostly impulse buys from the local baggage/leather shop in the mall or in the airport. Nothing over $40.

          5 black ones, 2 brown ones, 1 red one, 1 "wtf was I thinking" purse, and 2 pink ones, one of which is infamous here on GFY from a few years back... and like Elli, I never spend more than 40-ish on mine either.

                          i have 2. one is awesome and totally unique, i got it online for like 22$. the other is like 10 years old, a mini velvet backpack style i got for 20$. That about does it for me.

                                                      I'm too lazy to count, but I'd estimate 25+. Some designer and some names that no one would recognize. It doesn't matter the price, just if it strikes me as cute at the moment. But I'll fully admit to being an accessory (bags and shoes) queen who spends waaaay too much on cute shoes and purses.

                                                          Hmm.. My bags are kind of cheap around $100-$150.... I'm looking for a new bag tho and I want it to be more upscale and designer, not Vuitton tho, there's too many fakes and I think it's getting tacky. Not Coach either (not designer enough, too many teenieboppers wear Coach).

                                                          Maybe a classic Chanel, or something from Chloe, or Marc Jacobs?

                                                          I know the demand for designer bags is VERY high and many females will spend thousands on a bag. I think the most expensive is Hermes, Kate Moss has a huge collection of Hermes bags and I think some can cost over 10k. That is too much for me tho, sorry I don't have 10k to spend on a bag.

                                                          Really hot ones I heard are the "Spy bag" from Fendi, every other celeb has one including Lindsay Lohan, even Madonna, Hilary Duff, etc.. umm Chloe Paddington is hot, Marc Jacobs "stam" bag.... These bags are all over 1k though. (google them for more info)

                                                          For a designer bag I think you have to go over $500, below is not really considered designer but "tacky" designer like Juicy or some crap like that.
                                                          But you don't have to spend thousands, you can probably find a nice designer bag for $600-1k

                                                          Key is to find something classic and not retardedly trendy that will go out of style fast.

                                                          Why don't you go to eluxury.com and look around at the bags there? That's a good place to see what's hot and what's out in the market in regards to designer bag?

                                                          I think people who are into status and designer bags will not buy just ANY bag just because it is "high quality leather". In terms of what hot, most people want designer and that means known couture designers, and it's sad but celebs DO really set the trends in terms of fashion so most people are looking at what Sienna Miller and Kate Moss are carrying...

                                                              Hey for more info you should really go to this site "thefashionspot.com" and go to the handbag section. More info then you'll ever need about handbags. Demand is really high. Some people I know don't even make a lot of money but they'll save until they can get that one piece. And most of it is driven by what celebs are wearing at the moment. The most important ones right now are :
                                                              SIENNA MILLER, KATE MOSS, Nicole Richie . Sienna is really big in Europe, whatever she carries tons of women will want to copy and go and rush out to buy just because she has it. This is a fact.

                                                                                                      I own about 5. 1 large black one for carrying cameras in when shooting at the club, 1 guess bag that matches anything black and white. 1 brown, another black one and then one from the brother in law that has never and will NEVER get used. I may have to donate that one to goodwill. LOL

Most of mine though are marilyn monroe or something with a picture or something different on them. I dont own any designers just not my thing
