Stolen Content on Ebanned

i got an email from a member the other day letting me know that someone was selling one of our dvd's on ebanned. the dvd also included a 100 pictures set. i contacted ebanned asking them to remove the dvd and give me the person's contact information. they replied saying that they removed it but they couldn't give out private information on members.

to add insult to injury, this prick is disputing it saying that he owns the content and that i'm a disgruntled buyer! can you believe that shit!

so i sent another reply to ebanned asking them if it's ok if i sell pirated movie dvd's and music cd's on their site and would i receive the same "privacy policy" protection (sarcasm)

anyway, i would probably let it go if the guy admitted his wrong doing and left it at that but just hearing his response makes me want to burn him.

has anyone dealt with anything like this before?

this is the conversation:

the person that is selling this product has no authorization from us to sell it. we own the copyright content on the dvd.

No I'm sorry I'm not able to do that. Our privacy policy prohibits it.

He is actually contesting the action and claims that you are a disgruntled buyer of his trying to cause problems....

Whatever the case may be, we do not get involved in those sort of disputes, however, any future items will need proof of ownership before I take any kind of action.

Take care,
Marie

who can i speak to in your company to get this person's contact information?

this is copyright infringement and this person has to be stopped from selling our content on other sites.

are people allowed to burn pirated movie DVD's and music CD's and sell them on ebanned? if so, would the person's identitiy be protected by your privacy policy?

i can provide any information you need to prove that i am the owner of the content this person is selling.

i was actually notified by one of our members that they are selling one of our dvd. we sell our dvd's on our store www.chicasstore.com for $29.95 so our members are confused as to why we are selling them for $20 on ebanned.

i am upset that a person would do this, but i'm infuriated that he turns around and states that i'm a disgruntled buyer!

i would have been more forgiving if this person just admitted that they stole the content but now i realize he has intentions of selling more dvd's.
