I saw an interview on CNN a couple of months ago about this family having the same problem. The 1st year they fed the ducks. Next year the ducks came back with a few friends. By the third year that family had a huge problem trying to get themselves rid of the hundreds of ducks coming to drink water and bade in their pool on their way south.

My advice? Cook the duck. And if more come your way, open a Chinese restaurant.

I live on the water and have a pool and I've dealt with ducks and peacocks (peacocks were my fault, I brought them in) and I can assure you the shit factor is high. Be prepared to do a hell of a lot of scrubbing if you want to keep them around.
