Honestly.... They've done studies, and you shouldn't use yellow in your designs or as backgrounds on the pics you're trying to sell.... or in advertising in general. Yellow is the color for WARNING (ACHTUNG!).
I even remember a adult webmaster (can't remember who) did a few tests with his traffic, and yellow was always a sales killer.
