          That domain would be worth more if you seo'd it abit, right now I must say it really sucks. If you can get a top 10 spot on google and or yahoo for her name it would help alot.

                          She can file a complaint with ICAAN or Internic (don't know which one exactly) and get the back the name unless you can prove you have "more" right to the name as she does.

                                      I don't see a hyphenated domain being worth less than a non hyphenated domain, what does it matter? they are both looked on the same in the SE's..
