why not use vegas if you're using sony cameras? it's great software and it's set up to import any sony file and plugins set it up to pull anything else.Comment

I just finished a movie using Ulead VideoStudio 11, and I dont think I will use that program ever again. It had some nice features, and was easy to use, but I had too much trouble with syncing the sound and pictures and other idiotic small things
For my next project, im going for pinnacle..M&A QueenComment

actually i found a solution (i use premiere 1.5 and the mainconcept plugin), i just thought it's embarrasing that this still doesn't work in Premiere CS3HDV Split is extra software, but it is free.
for editing i am used to Ulead - and that is so easy to use that i can teach more or less everyone within 1 hour to edit trailers for me. and i can even edit HDV with my mediocre laptop with it - which i'm doing right now on my sofa while writing this

ulead media studio PRO is in no way comparable to their consumer products. it's a professional software just like Premiere or Vegas. unfortunately since Corel bought Ulead they seem to discontinue Media Studio Pro

I was using Adobe Premiere Pro on Windows but not on any serious amount of work. Just a few trailers and stamping videos. Used Cleaner to encode the videos.Comment

It's all about the software. Macs are PC's nowadays.
Avid can be run on both windows and Macs. So not really a great argument that Windows can't do pro editing. There's a reason Hollywood movies are edited more often on it than FCP the Mac only standard.
This movie is pretty recent.
