    Time for the Easter BEER HUNT!!!

    About 10 years ago, my mom noticed that the family's interest in hard boiled eggs was wanning. So she updated the tradition.

    Now she buys a bunch of nice micro-brews and hides beer bottles around the yard (plus some Ensure for Grandpa). Then we use cardboard 6-pack holders filled with plastic green grass as "easter baskets."

    The "new" hunt is always fun and we're always excited about our loot.



    This is an open-source tradition... pass it on to your family!

              We end up making /altering lots of traditions. They actually feel more meaningful, even when they are silly.

                      My mother is the easter bunny! My friends and I go up to her spot in the mountains. We go inside and have cocoa while she is out hiding eggs full of nice lil treats
                      Very similar to your tradition Halcyon
                      we then find all the treats....after, we consume a few delectables found, all the while the feast is in the oven....
                      this year its going to resemble Thanksgiving quite a bit.... turkey, ham, candied yams, buns, apple cashew salad, durkey green beans....the list goes on

                      Ask 2hp.....the food alone will melt you....melt you into a sweet ball of bliss....

                      anyway.....yea...I may have to merge your tradition with mine....I may hop up there with a basket of brew myself....thanks for the idea
