    New York Nice Dinner...

Locals to NYC, I am after a really nice place to eat on the Saturday before the show. I ate before at Union Square Cafe, which was an amazing meal.

Wondered if anyone would recommend somewhere, kinda romantic pref as I am bringing my lady.

I know there are good steaks there somewhere...

Hell, Ruth's Chris has some good steaks.

One of my favorite late night steak spots that isn't too expensive is L'Express on the corner of Park and 20th.

I'd be interested to know this too, going to NYC with my girlfriend later this year for a night then down to Florida next day. Wanna go to a really nice restaraunt.

            1. The Strip House
If you're looking for a classy bordello backdrop to accompany your steak, Strip House is a good choice. Dim lighting, velvety red walls and b&w pin-ups contribute to creating an unusually sexy steakhouse atmosphere. Diners with big appetites recommend starting with the Strip House's lobster bisque before digging into New York strip, rib-eye or porterhouse steaks. For side dishes (each serving 2-3) try the goose fat potatoes, black truffle creamed spinach or braised collard greens and kale.

All great places to eat though Peter Luger would be my favorite. Don't forget to get buy some of the sauce on the way out.

                      Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

That sounds PERFECT. It's the first time the lady I am bringing has been to America, so that sounds romantic, sexy and with great food!

                      Thanks

We went there and had the worst fucking time. The douche waiter ran after us into Times Square and bitched about the tip. We just laughed in his face and caused a scene. I suppose it was worth it though since it is a good story. It's one of those place where they have career waiters not willing to work for their money. Worst service I have ever received.

                                Wolfgangs.

The main man at Peter Lugers realized that the rude waiter/picnic table/no credit card thing was actually pissing people off and opened 2 locations in Manhattan. Tribeca and Midtown.
Atmosphere is better for taking important clients than it is for a romantic dinner, but the steaks are as good, if not better than Peter Lugers.
I actually have an apartment about ten minutes walking distance from Peter Lugers and I havent been back there since Wolfgangs opened.
