I used to love IE but now use FF almost exclusively and with the extra extensions I have for FF - love it even more. Yes it's a resource hog but when I'm surfing I'm not doing a bunch of other things too that require system resources. I'll fire up IE if I have to go to the microsoft.com website - other than that, I'm all about FF.
Instead of bitching about it - why not build browsercash.com (read the other thread about every new webmaster program using the word cash in the title) and buy people's FF (and all the other non-IE) browser traffic that webmaster don't want to build sites around and convert it on sites built exclusively for those browsers??Comment

Personally I use FF. It does not matter what browser WE use. What matters is what the general public use. Firefox is at the point now where it should not be ignored.
If somebody visits your site and the tables or whatever is off then it reflects poorly on you. Period. Who wants to do business with somebody who is not even going to bother to make the site look presentable?
With all due respect, your not going to make a lot of $$$ with the "Fuck them!" attitude. Every visitor is a potential sale and you have to accommodate everybody. This thread is laughable. FF does not screw up any text display...in fact, it looks better than with IE..antialeasing rulez! FF displays CSS correctly, IE is a piece of shit in that departement. I optimize my sites for modern web standards, not for old, crappy, non-updating so called "web browsers". I don't know how my surfers handle it but I don't care. If I loose biz - so it'll be.

ok, ive been here for a day, time for my 2cents worth. what follows is strictly my opinion and u can follow me or not, do what ya like, lol. for me, Ff rocks, much faster simply w/ the adblock extension. works for everything i need, well almost, just need a "bookmark me" code that will work for FF and im rockin. my whole page was done w/ FF in mind, the bookmark me link was added on at the end. my page looks good in both FF and IE, w/ only minimal differences. as some1 said, could just be that im a n00bie at HTML. but u gotta start somewhere. FF rocks my socks and IE just creeps along, so ill stick w/ gettin my socks rocked

Firefox displays everything that is standard. How can it fuck up text displays if you are coding properly? When coding for IE you are coding for IE. When coding for browswers you are coding for browsers. So you are saying you are using html arguments that are IE specific?
Who's fault is that? Yours or Mozillas?

Ah so not too far from her, what an hour or so? Depending on route taken of course. She brought me over to the island just over a month ago before she headed to florida for her vacation. I was impressed with how good the roads are over there compared to in moncton and surrounding parts. Even teh drivers are curteous. My only complaint is the fucked up streets. Just doesn't make sense to an outsider.Comment
