I remember as a kid when someone finally bought the old ratty "haunted" house and we learned...... she was a divorced lady!!!!! As kids we speculated that maybe she walked around nude and maybe was a hooker.
I'm not even kidding. The "D" word was a bad word, you expected a divorced person to be visibly evil or something.
Maybe it's best to move forward.
