Pink has lost all hope and has let bad ideas, or "worms", control his thoughts.

On a more literal level, the worms also represent the Nazi-like party of fascist followers that spring up around Pink. "Waiting to follow the worms" can be seen in both sense, as can many of the elements in THE WALL.

Floyd to Fly Again?


Nick Mason is indicating that there's another reunion coming....

After seeing the Waterless Floyd three times and Roger twice (seperatly, of course) I would love to see them get together and do The Wall. I never got to see that.

And some new collaborative material would be nice!

BTW - Waters is playing at this years Coachella festival.






London (ANI): Legendary rock band Pink Floyd are all set to reunite for a charity gig, it has emerged. Drummer Nick Mason confirmed the band's reunion and said that they just had to find the right cause to support.

"I'm pretty sure we'll play together again," The Sun quoted Mason, as saying. Pink Floyd have made up after a 20-year grudge. "We're not at each other's throats now," Mason said.

The band last performed at the London Live 8 concert in 2005, mending the rift between Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters. Pink Floyd fell out in the Eighties over who owned the band's name.

RW: And then he keeps flipping into the other persona which is the raving, facist persona that he has adopted. I could explain one thing and that is that all that shouting, the bullhorn stuff is actually describing a march from a place in south London. JL: These last few lines in 'Stop': "Because I have to know / Have I been guilty all this time." Is Pink asking himself, 'Am I a contributor to this very Hell that I have made for myself?'

RW: Yeah. Exactly that.

RW: Well...it all comes out in the next song.

JL: Which is 'The Trial.'

JL: And here you bring back the characters of the school master, the wife, the mother.

RW: And he has been obviously. We have been. We did do Aneheim stadium last time where the first people in the audience are 120 yards away because they won't let you on the infield. A dreadful place to do a rock show. The only reason for doing it is money. The defense of doing huge gigs like that, where nobody can really hear anything or see anything, is 'well gosh, we're so popular...there are so many people who want to come see us that we have to do these very large venues in order to accomadate them.' Which is a very nice gently out, but the reason that we all do it is for the bucks. And don't let any rock and roller tell you different because it ain't true. So, he decides that he has, we have. All those big stadium gigs. As it's himself that's trying himself. The worst thing that he thinks can happen to him is that he should expose himself, and his fears, and his feelings, and anything to make himself vunerable.

JL: Now wait a minute. You say that he's judging himself?

RW: Yeah. This is him hallucinating. This is him breaking down.

I got to see the Division Bell tour, I would kill to see the wall or Darkside. My Iphone has the Wall, Movie and CD, Plus Final Cut, Division Bell, Animals, Delicate Sound of Thunder, Darkside of the moon and A couple lesser known albums from the UK... It's basically all I listen too.

Pink Floyd is about getting high and listening to probably the most creative band ever. draw your own conclusions, just make sure to start the movie after the third lion roar!

Like a lot of their albums, that's the kind of album that you just have to turn the music up, sit back, close your eyes and let your mind conjur up images as the tunes play... and as someone else said decide for yourself what it all means.

It's actually for that very reason that I generally despise music videos, always have. I don't need others telling me what the song means or "looks like"... that's why we have imaginations. And there's no better music in the world to fuel your imagination than classic rock, specifically Floyd.

Well, since I have all access passes to Coachella (courtesy of the family that owns the land - more access than the artists themselves have) and this is just one of many bands i'll be seeing, yes.

Got a vacation house less than 2 miles from the event, golf carts to travel to and from, a 45' RV filled with kegs, etc....

I was fortunate in high school to find out about this movie at a party with the "older people". Every one was on acid and he was a snake collector. The idea was to be on acid. I think it was the thing back then. Probably now now eh ? he he

And that Live 8 performance was very uninspiring. It did not look to me like the rift had subsided.

I have an original piper at the gates of dawn record..havent played it in ages..and dont have a record player any more, used to love listening to The Gnome
