Best 10 bucks I have ever spent and it comes with cool Nascar graphics at no extra cost.

Serious though.. I'm looking at a Canon Rebel XT and a Nikon d70s

I have SONY P73 digital cam. It has lots of fantastic options like 4x optical zoom and making short movies with sound.

I remember when Lloyds came out with the 'multiplex stereo receiver' - had a built-in 8-track player and a fabulous plastic Gerrard turntable on top with a real smoked plastic dustcover. The front-mounted slider controls worked well if you tapped them lovingly with a small ballpein hammer (or mallet, if handy).

We used to have a Sony Mavica FD95, but wow, that was buried in the back of a closet about 3 years ago

I've had great luck with Sonys (aside from the one I dropped on a hotel room floor in Youngstown, OH.) The Sony camera may not be the top of the line in the price class it is in, but it definitely will not suck.

Nikon D50. I find it pretty decent.
