Doesn't sound like Chuck has seen Kimbo's videos. He wasn't walking up to people on the street and fighting them. (Although I thought that was a good idea) Kimbo was fighting willing opponents. Sure, he way outclassed them all except Gannon, but he wasn't clocking people on the street.

in all fairness, i'd say most of kimbo's "street fights" have been with total nOObs, with little to no fighting experience. (it's readily apparent in the videos).
i recall one or two guys, other than gannon, who knew what they were doing. i am in NO WAY saying that kimbo's NOT a bad-ass mother fucker.
one of the most ridiculous videos was with the opponent with the long dreads.

The article says Kimbo will probably face James Thompson next.
Now that will be a more interesting fight.
He doesn't have a good record either, but he does have some nice wins over experienced guys like Don Frye. Should be a lot better than the Tank Abbott fight.

Bas is a great trainer and all, but i doubt Kimbo will ever hold any HW belt. He is way to old and its late in the game for him. He is a first round knockout to any top HW at this point and he aint getting any younger. I do like watching him kick the shit out of bums though.

I'm gonna make a bold prediction that Elite will overtake UFC. UFC is first to market, but Mark Cuban brings a ton of money and power to the table. He is going to make it free to watch. At some point he will be able to pay the fighters as much if not more on regular TV due to the popularity of the sport. With people like Chuck Lidell talking about Kimbo and any other fighter in Elite, he is just giving them validity, and unfounded validity. Tank Abbott has always been one dimensional. Now he is older and grossly overweight. When he was fighting UFC in his prime he was still overweight and out of shape. It will be interesting to see if Cuban can bring this to everyday TV. Just my

I've heard that EliteXC has signed a deal with CBS, which if it's true, brings a HUGE new audience to the promotion. I for one have to agree with you in saying that EliteXC is going to start making some serious moves. It might take a while to catch up with UFC, but I can see it happening. have tim sylvia held the hw title i think kimbo can too... he is 10 times more athletic then sylvia... and have much greater talent, plus he is a natural fuckin beast... and 35 aint no age... look couture... he is closing in on 45... thats 10 years... and Dan severn is over 50 and still fights every month kicking ass. If you dont drink and do drugs you can fight til you 50+...
