Im assuming all the ones crying are still using tables mostly? lol
I didnt check for spyware for 4 months with firefox, and I had a whopping total of 40 instance of spyware. When I used IE Id get 400 or 500 in that amount of time, or much less time. You hit one page with IE and you goto spyware hell.
I fought to keep IE for along time, finally became not worth the fight.

EVERY softare has security holes, FF has just as many as IE, just not enough people targeting FF yet.. I have not had a virus, spyware, muckware, or malware through my browser in at least 6 years.Originally posted by jjjaynot strictly true.
a lot of spyware comes through drive by installs using IE browser holes and often activex
drive by installs are a shit load more difficult in firefox

FIREFOX 8.5%
NETSCAPE (wtf) 1.2%

I hope all the errors on my pages are minor because the FF tards can officially kiss my ass. If they don't like my sites then I don't want em there.
I will not be loading FF to check for errors again.Comment

FireFox's greatest support comes not in that it's better than IE, but because it's non-Microsoft.
Some people just don't care about the memory leaks and how it freaks out and takes up 50% of the CPU some time after you've got several tabs open. Just the fact that it's not Microsoft is enough to give some people a boner when they use it.
It really is a garbage browser compared to IE other than it's support for extensions.Comment

On some of my server logs, Firefox is being used by over 30%.
Its actually way more compliant with the standards and if a page is fucked up its because it hasn't been coded properly.

Even my blog sites (firefox is huge in the blog community) only show 11.5% FF. Either way I don't care, it should be corrected on their end when it's impossible to make everyone online write proper code.Originally posted by KRLOn some of my server logs, Firefox is being used by over 30%.

Lets see if it were me Id still be getting spyware. I shouldnt have to run 2 or 3 3rd party pieces of software in order to protect myself. Believe me I loved IE, and fought for a long time to keep using it. Ive been a system admin since 2001, I know how to protect myself. With IE you have to disable half the stuff in your browser in order to stay safe, and that means half the stuff on a good page you wont see.Originally posted by chadglniIs the problem IE or YOU?

I was wondering when someone would point that out, and to be honest I have 2 things running that eat NO resources whatsoeverOriginally posted by stickyfingerzdotnetYa Id much rather have several resources scanning my computer in order to be spyware safe.
I have Microsoft Windows Defender, which is built into the windows shell now and doesn't use any resources
I also have Spybot Tea Timer, which even if I used firefox all the time I would use it, and once agian, it uses barely any resources
nothing scans constantly, and nothing bogs down my machines
of course, if you have a 486 with 2mb of ram I would worry about it too....
you know what I am realizing though, the firefox/IE debate is about as important as the mac/pc debate, and arguing is pointless because we all have our preference and arguing over someones preference is just plain stupid.....imagine me throwing punches with a coke drinker because they don't like Pepsi...yeah, just like thatComment

As strategies go, it should take you about 15 seconds of consideration to reject Conquest. It cannot be sustained. The internal systems and principles Conquest requires breed an assortment of undesirable manifestations. It has no plan for what to do when ?All the eye surveys is yours!? I do all my stuff so that it works in both FF and IE. I actually am a lot more into the CSS styling and getting away from any tables at all. Well with IE it's harder to do that, it doesn't know CSS as well as FF does. You can ask just about any real CSS designer about this, FF and other browsers are a hell of a lot better for designing CSS files, you always gotta do the tweaks for IE to get it to work.NSCash now powering ReelProfits.com
