    Got my HVX200 3 days ago. Death to HDV!

    The Panasonic HVX200 is going to revolutionize the world of indie filmmaking.
    720p 4:2:2 color sampling. you got to see this shit on a big screen to believe it. I put all my HDV cams on ebay. I'm sold...

    Anybody else got one?

      I just figured out how to turn on my Z1U, so may be a while before I look at any other cameras.

              dvcpro HD is a much better format imo. at least in terms of render and encode times.

                          shit tell me about it. HDV with all the fucking compression Long GOP and whatever the hell else.

                          actually i just found out that 720p 24N is only 40mps stream. it's not that much more from editing a 25mps DV stream.
