Obviously a trip to Old San Juan will happen. Thats crazy close. 10 minute drive from Condado area. A trip to the Bacardi Factory is also fun and kind of an adventure. For that you go to Old San Juan then take a ferry across the harbor to a small town where local cabs take you to the factory then take you back when you're done.
In the other direction El Yunque rainforest is a nice get away. Bring your bathing suit and take a dip in La Mina Waterfall. Nearby Luqillo beach is nice and mellow.
If you're really adventurous you can hit The Caves of Camuy which I thought was pretty cool. But its far.
Or you can just chill in Condado and gamble and get a tan. -
You don't want to stay in Condado....Find something in Isla Verde....There's plenty on the strip that's very nice....If you want to stay somewhere decent but cheap for a day so you can make up your mind, there's a Howard Johnsons...

Nothing is wrong with condado.....but coming from a person who lived in San Juan, you'll have a better time in Isla Verde....There is no real party action in Condado compared to Isla Verde and Old San Juan.....
So if you want to either take a cab or drive everytime you want to go somewhere and hang out, Condado will do just fine.Comment
