            The .eu will puersceede the national domains when all the countries will get toghether. This is in the future (like 10 years from now on). If you want to make a quick buck it does not worth it, but in 10 years, who knows?

            I think that business sites for .eu wil take off if correctly managed..

                Planning an online based business investment for 10 years down the road is really a stretch.

                Look where we were 10 years back compared to today. Everything will be revolutionized a decade from now as well.

                So if you want to place that bet, I wouldn't bet a big amount of change on it.

                        Then you are truly living in a dream world and need to wake up to reality. There are far too many cultural, political and language differences for 10 years to be even close. The various European countires won't be 'getting together' much more than they are now (ie in certain central financial areas and the more important human rights related laws) for a VERY long time. To think otherwise is foolish at best.

                        For 99.9% of businesses and people .com or domestic domains (ie .co.uk, .fr etc) will remain the only relevant ones. The reality is very few organisiations target just Europe. They tend to be either national or global but not specific to Europe and that won't change anytime soon.
